The working principle of a water pump varies depending on the type

Volumetric Pump: Uses the periodic change of the working chamber volume to transfer energy, thereby achieving liquid transportation.
Vane Pump: Relies on rotating vanes to transmit mechanical energy to the fluid. Common types include centrifugal, axial flow, and mixed flow pumps. Among them, the working principle of the centrifugal pump is that under the action of centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the impeller, the liquid is thrown outward and pressed into the volute casing, forming a vacuum. Then, water from the pool is drawn into the replenishment space through the suction pipe under external atmospheric pressure, continuously sucking and pressing water; the axial flow pump uses the thrust generated by the high-speed rotation of the impeller to lift water; the mixed flow pump combines the principles of centrifugal force and lift.
